"Women fighting abuse in Burma. The state of the death penalty in Indonesia. And music healing the wounds inflicted by a racist attack in Australia."

Australia is in many ways a very liberal, multicultural country.

But there are deep of undercurrents of racism that occasionally manifest in ugly ways.

This week on Asia Calling, we hear the story of one man brutally attacked, who has been using music as a form of healing.

We’re also hearing about women fighting abuse in Burma, and the state of the death penalty in Indonesia.
